IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is a fertility treatment method and is the original test tube procedure in which the process of mixing of sperm and eggs takes place outside the body. The fertilized eggs are now considered an embryo and are then implanted back into the woman’s uterus.

Ovarian Stimulation

In general, the method of ovarian stimulation begins after the menstrual bleeding. The medications used by us are Gonal-F,foligraf/Humog etc. to stimulate follicle development. Egg Retrieval

During the egg retrieval procedure, the eggs are removed from the woman’s uterus under general anesthesia. It is a simple minimally invasive procedure

Fertilization and Embryo Culture

After egg collection, the sperm sample washed. The eggs and sperm are fused and will be mixed with the husband’s sperm and the fertilized eggs are cultured in an incubator for 5 days till Blastocyst stage.

In case, the sperm count and motility is below normal then ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) is used where one single sperm in injected into one single egg thereby ensuring fertilization

Embryo Transfer

We culture all of our Embryos till blastocyst stage unless indicated otherwise. This is a pain free procedure and no anesthesia is required.

Pregnancy Test

In general, the pregnancy tests will be about 10 days after Embryo transfer. The success rate of In Vitro Fertilization treatment in India depends on the number of factors together with age of the women, quality of embryos, number of previous IVF cycles and number of embryo transferred.
